SCAD offers a full lineup of intramural sports, including basketball, flag football, volleyball, softball and dodge ball, as well as a variety of student-organized activities. Intramural programs offer social and athletic opportunities, and also help to develop character, maturity and a sense of fair play. Programs include free-sport and personal challenge activities to provide students with positive and safe group events, such as residence hall challenges, three-on-three basketball and two-on-two sand volleyball events.
Who can participate
SCAD students, faculty and staff can participate by joining a team, starting a team or becoming a free agent to be placed on a team. There are also paid officiating opportunities available for basketball, flag football, soccer and softball. For more information or to sign up, e-mail intramurals@scad.edu or call 912.525.6006.
How to participate
Information about intramural activities is posted on classroom and residence hall bulletin boards; in District, SCAD's student newspaper; and in The Chronicle, a weekly newspaper published by SCAD and the official source for information about SCAD events, people, policies and programs.
