Student Recreation

The department of student recreation exists to help develop well-rounded students by encouraging personal health through recreational activities and encourage student participation in events that support community through social interaction, team building and promoting college spirit.

College-sponsored recreation programs help students become acquainted with college and area resources while also providing fitness opportunities. Activities such as canoeing, off-road biking, rock climbing and white-water rafting are offered during academic quarters. These are rewarding social and fitness functions for the entire student body.

Tennis courts, playing fields and parks also are popular sites for student recreational activities. In Savannah, proximity to beaches allows students to enjoy swimming, surfing and sailing. Atlanta students have proximity to lakes and rivers for outdoor water sports.
