SCAD Fitness

To support the health and well-being of students, faculty and staff, SCAD operates two fitness centers, featuring aerobics rooms,  locker rooms, free weights, and selectorized and cardiovascular machines.

Staff members teach various classes and provide consultation on health and fitness, including weight-training regimes and proper use of equipment. Classes include aerobics, body sculpting, dance aerobics, kickboxing, self-defense, cardio-boxing, pilates, resista-ball and yoga.

Sessions with staff members may be arranged by appointment for those interested in developing a personalized fitness training program with regular assessment of progress and goals.

Non-clinical wellness counseling and outreach services are provided to students, faculty and staff to address prevention issues and support healthy stress management and life choices.  Target program topics include nutrition, weight management, yoga and meditation, body image and lifestyle management. Workshops are offered in individual and small group sessions.
