The Allen E. Paulson Softball Complex, located off Skidaway Road, is home to the Savannah College of Art an Design softball program.
Opened in 1987, the lighted complex features five softball fields and a club house that includes offices, restrooms and a concession area. Located in midtown and minutes from the historic district, the complex have hosted the SCAD Smash Hit Spring Break and NAIA Region XIV Softball Tournaments.
Aside from being home to the SCAD softball program, the complex hosts many tournaments throughout the year. The city's various spring, summer and fall softball leagues operate out of the Paulson complex in addition to youth baseball games.
The Paulson Softball Complex is part of a larger 500-acre recreational facility - the largest in Chatham County - and includes an archery range, baseball fields, tennis courts, a football stadium, an Olympic weightlifting center and a 27-hole golf course with a driving range.
