Bees tied for sixth after first round of Flagler Fall Slam

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Savannah College of Art and Design women's golf team is tied for sixth place after the opening round of the Flagler Fall Slam Monday (Oct. 26).
The Bees, who finished last season ranked 13th in the NAIA, shot a round of 319 on the par-72, 6,077-yard layout at the Slammer and Squire Course at the World Golf Village. NCAA Division II-member Saint Leo University leads the 19-team field with a score of 301.
Kelsey Klatt had the top round for the Bees with a round of 77 to stand in a tie for 16th place while
Nikki Stewart is tied for 21st after a 78.
Katina Ruest is tied for 39th place after carding an 81 while
Jenna Schupska is tied for 52nd at 83.
Amelie Mogard is tied for 65th place after tallying an 85. Anna Riss of Saint Leo was the lone player to shoot below par with a 1-under 71 to lead the 93-player field after 18 holes.
The 36-hole tournament concludes Tuesday (Oct. 27).
