ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Savannah College of Art and Design women's golf team completed their fall season with an 11th-place finish at the Flagler Fall Slam Tuesday (Oct. 27)
The Bees, who finished last season ranked 13th in the NAIA, shot a round of 340 on the par-72, 6,077-yard layout at the Slammer and Squire Course at the World Golf Village to finish the 36-hole event at 659. NCAA Division II-member Saint Leo University won the 19-team event with a score of 617.
Kelsey Klatt had the top finish - a tie for 32nd place - for the Bees at 162 after a round of 85. Katina Ruest had the low round of the day for SCAD with an 82 and finished in a tie for 40th at 163. Nikki Stewart tied for 45th place at 164 after an 86 while Jenna Schupska came in a tie for 59th at 170 after an 87. Amelie Mogard fired a 91 and finished in 77th place at 176.
Anna Riss of Saint Leo earned medalist honors in the 93-player field at 145.
The Bees return to action Feb. 6 when they will travel to Kiawah Island, S.C., for the Kiawah Island Women's Golf Intercollegiate.
