The Savannah College of Art and Design men's cross country team finished in second place at the 2009 The Sun Conference Championship that was held Saturday (Nov. 7) at the Lekarica Golf Course.

In the process, the Bees had a runner earned all-conference accolades and two runners qualify for the NAIA National Championship that will be contested Nov. 21 in Vancouver, Wash.

The second-place finish was the best-ever result in the conference/regional meet in the program's history. The Bees finished with 56 points while Embry-Riddle (Fla.) University captured the event with 18 points.
