Burns, a 5-foot-2 sophomore from Baton Rouge, La., is transferring from Louisiana State University and will be immediately eligible to play for the Bees.

Burns prepped at University Laboratory School for four seasons where they won the Division II Louisiana state golf championship each year (2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007). She was a two-time state player of the year as she was the Division II 2005 and 2006 girls state champion, Burns also finished runner-up in 2007.
