Bees picked to win SELC South

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Savannah College of Art and Design men's lacrosse team has been picked to win the Southeastern Lacrosse Conference Division II South Division title in 2010.
The Bees return 14 players from last year's team that advanced to the SELC Division II Tournament for the fourth consecutive season. SCAD, which went
4-1 in the division last year, earned 26 points in the coaches' poll, eight more than the University of North Florida (36).
Palm Beach Atlantic University is picked third with 45 points followed by Eckerd College (46), Georgia Southern University (48) and The Citadel (70).
Defending SELC Division II champion Emory University is selected to win the Central Division while Elon University is the choice in the North Division.
In the overall SELC Division II rankings, SCAD is tied for fourth place with Kennesaw State University among the 18 institutions with 74 points.
Emory is picked to repeat with 19 points followed by Elon (35) and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (72).
SCAD opens the 2010 campaign Feb. 4 with a 7 p.m. contest against division-foe North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.
