Michael Molinaro have been selected as captains for the upcoming season which begins Feb. 4 with a 7 p.m. contest against the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.
Comite, a 5-foot-8, 160-pound junior from Swampscott, Mass., collected 37 ground balls and contributed an assist for the Bees last season as long stick midfielder. He was named a first team All-SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference and third team MCLA All-American as well as earning the MLCA's Scholar-Athlete Award.
"Dan, who ran LSM in 2009, will be moved to close defense this season," said Cummings. "He is a smart, athletic player who never takes a break."
Elmquist, a 5-9, 160-pound sophomore from Bainbridge Island, Wash., rejoins the team in 2010 after a brief stint at Bryant University. Elmquist accumulated 10 goals and two assists for the Bees in 2008. Elmquist was honored that season as a first team All-SELC Division II and All-MCLA Division II All-American performer. He was also recognized as the conference's Specialty Player of the year and was earned the MCLA Scholar-Athlete Award.
"Elmo, who took a majority of our faceoffs as a freshman in 2008, will once again be a major presence with faceoffs," said Cummings. "He will help lead our defensive unit, as well as make an impact in transition."
Hart, a 5-8, 155-pound junior from Allentown, Pa., had 38 ground balls in defense a year ago for SCAD.
"We will move Evan from defense to long stick middie in 2010, making use of his speed and stick skills," said Cummings. "Although Evan's role has been changed, we expect another solid season from him."
Molinaro, a 5-7, 155-pound junior from New Providence, N.J., tallied six goals and an assist while registering 41 ground balls in 2009.
"Mike is a hard-nosed player who isn't afraid to get in the middle of things. If there is a ground ball close by, it's going to be his. The Bees will look to Mike to lead our midfield group this season."
