SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Wingate University men's swimming team leads after the first day of the SCAD College Invitational Thursday (Dec. 1) evening at the Chatham County Aquatic Center.
The Bulldogs led the nine-team men's meet with 140 points, 40 more than Darton College. SCAD is in fourth place with 57 points after four events in the 18-event, three-day event.
Kelly Curl had the top individual finish for SCAD as he came in seventh place in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:28.22.
The Invitational continues Friday (Dec. 4) with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and the finals beginning at 5 p.m. Events to be competed include the 400 medley relay, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 400 individual medley, 50 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle relay.
