SCAD-Saint Xavier rained out, will be played Sunday
Softball Nationals
DECATUR, Ala. - Rain caused delays in the final day of pool play during the 29th Annual NAIA Softball National Championships. Three games were completed on Saturday (May 16), before the rains came. Twelve remaining games will be played on Sunday (May 17), while one final pool play game will be played on Monday (May 18) morning.

Savannah College of Art and Design's final pool play game against Saint Xavier University will be played Sunday (May 17) at 5:30 p.m. Central time at the Wilson Morgan Softball Complex.

Men's Swimming
SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah College of Art and Design men’s swimmer Alex Graudins has been named the Reed Publications SCAD Student-Artist-Athlete of the Week ending March 7.

Graudins, a freshman from Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, won two of the three individual national titles for the Bees last week at the NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championships in St. Peters, Mo.

Graudins claimed the first national title for the Bees as he won the 500-yard freestyle in a university-time of 4:27.44. He lowered his own record by nearly six seconds in the win. Graudins also broke his own university record as he won the 1,650 freestyle in a time of 15:42.28. He nearly had another win for the Bees as he came in second place in the 200 freestyle in a university-record time of 1:39.45.

As a team, the Bees finished in fifth place at the meet.
Reed Publications Intramural Athlete of the Week
XinYu  Shang
Intramurals
SAVANNAH, Ga. - XinYu Shang  has been named this week's Reed Publications Intramural Athlete of the Week ending March 7.

Shang, who is the team captain for Team C.S.A. (Chinese Student Association), scored 34 points in the Intramural B Division Championship Tournament Feb. 28. 

 

C.S.A. narrowly defeated Free Agent Two in the semifinal game 47-42 before defeating the Ballers 49-39 for the championship title.
