Fadida, Hreinsson earns NSCAA postseason honors

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Savannah College of Art and Design men's soccer players Dan Fadida and Ellert Hreinsson have earned postseason honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Fadida was named to the NSCAA/Performance Subaru NAIA All-America second team while Fadida and Hreinsson were both selection to the NSCAA/NAIA All-East team.

Fadida, a 5-foot-8 senior midfielder from Saltash, England, was named to his second All-America squad this season as he was also named to the third team by the NAIA last month. Fadida finished the season second on the team with eight goals scored, third in points scored (21) and fourth in assists (five). The three-time all-conference selection (2006, 2008 and 2009) is third on the university's all-time list in assists (18) and fourth in goals (23) and points scored (64).

Hreinsson, a 6-4 junior forward from Kopavogur, Iceland, led the Bees with 13 goals, eight assists and 34 points this season. The three-time all-conference honoree (2007-09) is currently ranked second in the university's all-time list with 32 goals and 79 points. He is also ranked fifth in career assists with 15.

The Bees finished with a 12-3-3 record and a No. 24 ranking in the NAIA en route to a second-place finish in The Sun Conference in 2009.
