Bees record 23-1 win over Georgia Southern

STATESBORO, Ga. – Kim Caltagirone led the Savannah College of Art and Design women’s lacrosse team to a 23-1 victory over Georgia Southern University Saturday (March 6) afternoon.
The Bees, who scored at least 20 goals in a match for the third time this season, improved to 4-0 and will host Swarthmore College in a 1 p.m. match Friday (March 12) at the SCAD Athletics Complex.
The Bees set a new standard for the program as they only allowed the Eagles one goal in the match, breaking the previous mark of three set earlier this season against Erskine College.
Caltagirone was one six players for the Bees that registered multiple goals in the match. Caltagirone led the offensive attack with five goals while
Nicky Mula,
Jaclyn Scott,
Devin Dorsey and
Nicole Burns each put four in the goal for SCAD.
Alexis Spaide added two goals while
Chelsea Bernardo,
Britney Lukowski and
Leah Pluger tallied one each. Dorsey contributed four assists while Mula and Scott added three each. Burns and Caltagirone registered two assists each while Bernardo had one.
Goalies Khylen Steward and Lauren Alexander each had one stop for the Bees.
