HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – Eight different players scored goals for the Savannah College of Art and Design as the Bees recorded a 24-1 victory over Georgia Southern University Friday (April 2) afternoon at the SCAD Athletics Complex.
The Bees improved to 8-1 and will return to action tomorrow (April 3) at 11 a.m. when they host Tennessee Wesleyan College at the SCAD Athletics Complex.
SCAD scored 19 goals before the Eagles scored their lone goal by Emily Zimmerman with 14:05 remaining in the match. The Bees outshot Georgia Southern 43-8 and forced the Eagles into 25 turnovers.
Devin Dorsey scored five of her team-high six goals in the first half as the Bees took a 15-0 halftime lead.
Jaclyn Scott added five goals for SCAD while
Nicky Mula contributed four.
Leah Pluger tossed in three goals while
Kim Caltagirone and
Britney Lukowski each tallied two.
Allie Page and
Alexis Spaide each scored one.
Dorsey also led the Bees with five assists while Caltagirone, Mula and Scott each added two.
Chelsea Bernardo, Page and Pluger registered one each.
Khylen Steward had four saves in goal for the Bees while
Lauren Alexander had one.
