The SCAD Equestrian Team competed in the Florida State University Region 5, Zone 5, Intercollegiate Horse Show Association contest in Tallahassee, Florida, Saturday and came away with the Reserve Championship (second place). The Bees have won the Reserve Championship in each of the two events that they have taken part in 2014-15.
 
In the individual events, the Bees had seven riders earn titlist honors. Those coming away with blue ribbons were Madison Albano (B.A., equestrian studies), Elizabeth Stroh (B.A., equestrian studies), Samantha Tessmer (B.A., equestrian studies), Taylor Stier (B.A., equestrian studies), Jessica Amsberry (B.A., production design), Claire Needle (B.A., graphic designs) and Heather Partlow (B.A., equestrian studies).
 
Together the SCAD riders garnered enough points to finish just four points behind the winner of the contest: the University of Florida. SCAD's Devon Walther (undeclared) presently ranks third in the Cacchione Cup standings.
