Bees Finished Tied for First; Two Named to All-Tournament Team

Valdosta, Georgia – Corinne Grans-Wood and Mariona Maeso both shot a final round 76 to help the second-ranked SCAD women's golf team shot a 310 and overcame a seven stroke deficit to finished tied for first place with Dalton State at the Thomas Invitational Tuesday at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.

Grans-Wood and Maeso tied for the third lowest score of the second round and were both named to the all-tournament team. Grans-Wood shot a two-round total of 151 to finished third overall, while Maeso finished fourth shooting a 152.

Paulina Camacho carded a 153 to finish in a five-way tie for fifth place. Allie Agrella, playing as an individual, also finished tied for fifth after shooting a 79 in the second round.

Sofia Molinaro was the only Bees player to lower their score from the first round finished the second round with a 78. Molinaro shot a 160 to finish 23rd overall.

Emily Singletary shot a 162 for the tournament to round out the Bees scoring.

SCAD and Dalton State both finished shooting 613. Diane Lim of Coastal Georgia shot a 146 to claim the individual title.

The Thomas Invitational featured six teams ranked in the NAIA Top 25.

The Bees will return to course Monday October 26, when they host the NAIA Women's Golf National Preview at Savannah Quarters in Pooler. Play is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
